By using the Shoptiles.co.uk site you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions may be changed from time to time, on which occasions you will be suitably notified by email. Once notified, continued use of this site denotes your agreement to be bound by the new terms and conditions.

To register an account with Shoptiles.co.uk;

* you must be over eighteen years of age
* you must ensure all details provided by you are correct at the time of registration, and notify us of any changes to these details by updating your personal information.

Password and Account Security

At the time of opening an account you will be asked to create a password. You are responsible for keeping this password fully confidential. You must not disclose it or share it with anyone. You will be responsible for all activities and orders submitted to us on your account using this password.

Natural Products Colour / Pattern 

Natural stone is subject to variations in tone and colour. These variations occur due to the fact that the stone is formed entirely naturally.

Products may differ from our online images as stones are sourced from various locations. We do our best to display as much variation as possible within our product images and if you are unsure of anything, we are always able to provide some further insights prior to placing your order. 

Natural products will often have a fine layer of dust from the quarrying process and this can sometimes cause the slabs to look a little dull at first.

Always be sure to remove the layer of dust from the slabs and allow some moisture to get into the stone. Once the stone has taken on some moisture, the natural colours will be apparent which can take a few months. 

Colours will intensify and darken when the slab is wet and once laid, the stone will naturally take in moisture from the mortar bed which will help to bring out more of the colours.

Natural stone thickness can vary each way as advertised, although calibrated, this is the feature of the stone and machines are used to keep the thickness as consistent as possible.  

Area Coverage

By using the Shoptiles.co.uk site you understand that the square metre coverage per pack is based upon laying the tiles / slabs provided within the pack. 

Liability

If any of the goods delivered to you by Shoptiles.co.uk are not what you ordered, are damaged or of incorrect quantity, you are required to notify us in writing within 10 days of delivery of these goods. Notification after this period will incur no liability whatsoever on behalf of Shoptiles.co.uk

Similarly, if you have not received the goods ordered by you within 14 days of the date of your order, we will have no liability whatsoever unless notified in writing within 10 days following this 14 day period.

Our only liability to you in the above situations will be to issue a part or full refund, or replacement of the goods in question.

Shoptiles.co.uk will be in no way liable to you for any loss, damage or expenses, either indirect or consequential, resulting out of the above situations or from the use of products purchased by you on Shoptiles.co.uk

Delivery

  • Deliveries normally occur between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).
  • Deliveries are facilitated by a third-party company, usually your pallet delivery
    takes about 3 to 4 working days after successful payment. In certain circumstances it might extend up to 7 working days due to various factors.
  • Free delivery excludes the following postcodes and areas:
    AB, DD, HS, IV, KA, KW, PH, PA20+ and ZE. Northern and Southern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of White, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Scottish Isles.
  • Morning, Afternoon, Express and Saturday deliveries are available for a small additional charge.
  • We are unable to advise of the exact delivery day as we use a third party courier, precise delivery is available for a small additional charge.

Delivery instructions

  • The delivery is not on a crane/HIAB, it is on a minimum 20ft Lorry, the vehicle will lower the pallet to the ground using an electric tail lift. The pallet is then moved into place using a manual pallet truck.
  • It is imperative that the ground that the pallet is unloaded onto is flat and solid. We cannot deliver onto grass, gravel, move the pallet up an incline or decline. For larger orders alternative delivery methods can be arranged. Please call our office to discuss any delivery requirements or for clarification.
  • If we are unable to deliver due to the offloading area being unsuitable (i.e. grass, gravel, incline or decline) – we will refund you minus the delivery charge. Please see above for clarification.
  • If you are not present to sign for the goods or unreachable with the contact number provided when ordering, a re-delivery charge will be made. These charges are set by the delivery network.
  • Re-delivery will be made after charges paid, re-delivery timescales will be dictated by the courier which fall out of our standard delivery timescales.

Damages

  • Whilst we do our utmost to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition, Due to the nature of the product it is important to allow a total of 15% for any potential breakages when ordering. We will be happy to refund the value of any additional (above 15%) breakage of tiles / slabs. You have 48 hours from the time of delivery to report details of any damaged or missing items. Written and photographic evidence will be required. Please ensure that the original packaging is kept.
  • We always check each pallet before it is dispatched, if you find any problems with your order or have any suspicion of damage, please sign for the goods as damaged.
  • It is advisable that the person accepting delivery can help the driver as assistance may be required to help push the pallets into a suitable position. Please arrange for contractors or labourers to be available to assist the driver for large orders.
  • Please be advised that whilst every care will be taken by the delivery drivers, we cannot be held responsible for any damages that occur to your property or possessions whilst the delivery is in progress. Please take care to cover any surfaces and remove items from the delivery area.

Returns

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the product, you can return the goods within 5 days providing they are in the original packaging and suitable for collection. You will be charged the initial delivery cost and the return cost which will be deducted from the refund. Once goods have been dispatched from the warehouse any cancellations will incur a minimum 1 way delivery charge. If we are unable to move the goods to an alternative job then the customer is liable to cover ALL charges to return the goods to the warehouse. A re-stocking fee will also apply which is dependent on the product type. 

Our customer services team will call you once the order has been placed to go through delivery instructions with you. Our delivery team are not responsible for any additional lifting or carrying of your goods. We do not deliver items to multiple addresses.
